Triangulation of Literary Theory, Text and Literariness: Your Views Please!

Triangulation of Literary Theory, Text and Literariness: Your Views Please!

Your Views Please!

Hi friends,

The post-1950s decades were the decade of the rise of literary theories, simultaneously these decades were the year of rise of the popular culture, which has influenced all the areas of literature and literary theories. can we say that literary theories are the by-product of Popular culture?

Your views please ...

Your Views Please!

i think... we need to make inquiry, what makes 'a theory', 'literary theory' and 'a text', 'literary text'... to be precise, what is literariness....

Your Views Please!

Hi All,

The contemporary literary theories have strangulated or asphyxiated 'literariness' from the literary texts; they have subjected literariness (aesthetic pleasure) to a thing of/for experiment. The consequent question that arises is that, then, why should we use literary theories for the understanding of a literary text?

We would appreciate your views on this query.................
